The micro brew scene all over the U.S. has been exploding and Burlington, VT has been a hotbed for brewers. Well known local brands such as Switchback, Heady Topper, Long Trail, Fiddlehead and Citizens Cider all call Vermont home, and the newest addition to that list is Burlington Beer Company. Joe Lemnah, the owner of Burlington Beer Company, has created a farmers market inspired, kick-starter funded passion project that has turned into Vermont’s newest brewery. BBC has only officially been in business for 2 months, but the project has been incubating for more than two years and Joe has worked in the industry for over a decade. He has spared no expense in creating a state of the art brewery complete with two 500 gallon fermentation tanks as well as a massive tasting room with space for live music. Specialty beers are being brewed all the time, but the company’s flagship beers are Hills & Hollows, Mason Jar Mild, C’est Bon and Summerfield (our personal favorite).
BBC is located at 25 Omega Drive Suite 150 in Williston in a 4700 square foot facility with plenty of room to grow. If you can’t make it to their Williston location you can still sample their beers at many spots in downtown Burlington (Manhattan’s, Mr. Mikes and Farmhouse to name a few). Everything is on tap right now, but BBC has plans to start bottling as soon as possible. Murmiration and Bee Keeper will be the first to be bottled with many more unique flavors to follow. Omega Realty is extremely excited to welcome this group of entrepreneurial brew masters to the area and we highly recommended you stop by and grab a pint!
